Unsubscribing and Data Anonymisation Policy for Thrivival

This policy outlines the procedures and practices for unsubscribing from communications and managing your personal data at Thrivival Ventures Pty Ltd. We are committed to respecting your privacy choices and providing transparent information about how your data is handled when you choose to limit or end your relationship with our services.

- Your account settings in the Thrivival app
- The “Manage Preferences” link included in all our email communications
- Replying “STOP” to any SMS message we send
- Contacting our customer support team

1.3 Essential Communications
Please note that even if you unsubscribe from marketing communications, you may continue to receive essential communications related to:

- Transaction confirmations
- Legal notices
1.4 Processing Time
We will process unsubscribe requests promptly. Please allow up to:
- 24 hours for email unsubscribe requests
- 72 hours for postal mail unsubscribe requests
- 10 business days for preference changes made through customer support
2. Account Deactivation and Deletion
2.1 Temporary Deactivation
You may temporarily deactivate your Thrivival account by:
- Using the “Deactivate Account” option in your account settings
- Contacting our customer support team
During deactivation:
- Your profile will not be visible to other users
- You will not receive non-essential communications
- Your account data will be preserved for future reactivation
2.2 Permanent Deletion
To permanently delete your account and associated personal data:
- Navigate to “Account Settings” > “Privacy” > “Delete Account” in the app
- Complete the verification process to confirm your identity
- Submit your deletion request
2.3 Cooling-Off Period
After requesting permanent deletion, a 30-day cooling-off period will begin, during which:
- You may cancel the deletion request by logging back into your account
- Your account will remain deactivated but recoverable
- You will receive a confirmation email with instructions for canceling the deletion if desired
3. Data Anonymisation and Deletion
3.1 Data Anonymisation Process
When you request deletion of your personal information, we will:
- Remove all personally identifiable information from our active systems
- Replace identifiable data with randomised identifiers
- Disconnect all links between anonymised data and your identity
- Implement technical measures to prevent re-identification
3.2 Scope of Anonymisation
The anonymisation process applies to:
- Account profile information
- Contact details
- Usage history
- Device information
- Any other personally identifiable information
3.3 Data Retention After Anonymisation
Following anonymisation, certain non-personal data may be retained in aggregated form for:

- Performance measurement
- Building better features and services
This aggregated data cannot be used to identify you personally.
3.4 Immediate Deletion
The following data will be immediately and permanently deleted upon account deletion:

4. Data Backup and Archiving
4.1 Backup Retention
For disaster recovery and business continuity purposes, your data may remain in our backup systems for a limited period after deletion from active systems:

- Offsite archives: up to 180 days
4.2 Backup Security
All backup data is:
- Encrypted using industry-standard encryption protocols
- Stored in secure, access-controlled facilities
- Subject to strict access limitations and audit logging
- Automatically purged after the retention period expires
4.3 Restoration Limitations
We have implemented technical measures to ensure that:
- Deleted user data is flagged to prevent inadvertent restoration
- Any system restoration excludes previously deleted personal data
- Backup data cannot be used for operational purposes after deletion request
5. Third-Party Data Management
5.1 Service Providers
When you request deletion of your data, we will:
- Notify applicable third-party service providers of your request
- Require confirmation of compliance with deletion requirements
- Follow up to ensure completion of deletion processes
5.2 Data Sharing Limitations
Please note that:
- Information previously shared with third parties prior to your deletion request may still be held by those parties

- Deleting your Thrivival account does not affect your accounts with those third parties
